Up in the clouds on the side of a mountain overlooking the Byrne Valley in KZN, 9km from Richmond, and approximately 48km from PMB, there is a secluded backpacker’s retreat, a place where you can relax and unwind from the daily grind.

Breathtakingly beautiful Views from the top of the mountain, with Valleys on either side set in a pristine nature conservancy, await you.

Completely of the beaten path, approximately an hour form Durban, lies the picturesque Cloud Mountain backpackers Created from the desire to give guests a true ECO nature Experience, this community based backpackers has it all: great views, amazing fauna and flora and cozy vibes. Are you curious to venture of the beaten path and experience authentic sustainable living and not just anywhere, but in the very heart of KZN, on the edge of the majestic midlands meander. Surrounded by wildlife, nature, historical spots and a number of adventure activities, we offer something for everyone.

Accommodation
  • Self Catering accommodation for 10 people.
  • There are 5 rooms in the cottage:
    • 2 rooms with double beds.
    • 3 rooms with 2 single beds.
  • 2 bathrooms (Main en-suite).
  • Large braai and entertainment area.
  • Large Lounge with log fire.
  • Sun room.
  • Fully equipped kitchen and scullery with ovens, microwave ovens and toasters, cutlery, crockery, etc.
  • Bring your own towels, linen supplied.
